Laura Niessen and Nancy Bocken published an open access paper on how companies can drive sufficiency in the Sustainable Production and Consumption journal.

How can businesses support sufficiency? A new paper by Laura Niessen and Nancy Bocken provides 16 different strategies a company can use to drive sustainable consumption. Published in the Sustainable Production and Consumption journal, the authors present the Business for Sufficiency (BfS) framework that shows the wide range of strategies available for firms that want to support sustainable lifestyles.

Based on interviews with front-runner companies, the research also looks into barriers and opportunities for sufficiency-driving business and how such strategies fare in terms of viability, feasibility, desirability and sustainability.
