Together with colleagues from Denmark, Germany and TU Delft, Nancy Bocken published an article which proposes a Circular Value Toolkit. The toolkit supports users in 1) identifying the points in the product lifetime where value is decreased or destroyed; 2) developing ideas and concepts to prevent value destruction; and 3) identifying barriers and opportunities for initiating collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the preservation of product value throughout a product’s lifetime. This toolkit was developed using design science research, involving companies and students in the tool development process. The work builds on earlier tools such as the value mapping tool developed with colleagues at University of Cambridge in 2013.
