We are excited to announce that project Circular X has been extended by the European Research Council (ERC) to run until mid 2027. We will now have even more time to study experimentation on circular business models! Circular X also got awarded a prestigious ERC Proof of Concept Grant this year to explore the wider societal or commercial potential of the Circular X work during the upcoming period. The ERC Proof of Concept Grant is called the "Circular X Accelerator" and will investigate how to develop and scale advanced circular business models including those focused on sufficiency (e.g., reuse, refuse) and regeneration. More support is needed to accelerate this transition towards these more impactful circular business models.
