Circular X is involved in editing two special issues on business models and circular economy in management journals.
The first special issue in the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal (SEJ) is on "Business Model Innovation Design: Deploying Strategic Entrepreneurship to Address Grand Challenges". It is edited by Nancy Bocken, Sven Heidenreich, Patrick Spieth, Christopher Tucci and Christoph Zott. Please find the call for papers here. Papers are due on 3 April 2023. A session is dedicated to the topic at the Strategic Management Society (SMS) Annual Conference in London in September, in a session titled: Business Model Innovation Design: Deploying Strategic Entrepreneurship to Address Grand Challenges.
The second special issue in the International Small Business Journal (ISBJ) and is titled "Start-ups within Entrepreneurial Ecosystems towards a Circular Economy". You can find the call for papers here. The special issue is edited by Magnus Klofsten, Wisdom Kanda, Dzamila Bienkowska, Nancy Bocken, Sarfraz Mian and Wadid Lamine. Papers are due on 1 December 2022. The special issue was discussed at the Academy of Management (AOM) on 5 August in a Professional Development Workshop (PDW) session titled: Start-up Support Promoting Circular Economy within Entrepreneurial Ecosystems.
