On 1 December, Prof. Nancy Bocken gave a keynote presentation at the biannual Ecodesign conference in Nara, Japan. She presented the research work of project Circular X in a talk titled: Designing and Implementing Circular Business Models.
Since the first EcoDesign symposium in 1999, it has led the research and practices of environmentally conscious design of products, services, manufacturing systems, supply chains, modes of consumption, economics, and society. Amidst ongoing advancement of technologies and changes in social needs, the circumstances surrounding EcoDesign are continuously progressing. This year’s theme was "Ecodesign with Art, Science and Technology" and featured other keynote speakers from the IPCC, eco-innovative architecture, and business backgrounds.
