On 24 January Nancy Bocken gave a talk at the Freiburg Sustainability Talks titled: “Circular economy: a story of less and more”.
Her virtual talk discussed the following:
The effects of climate change are clearly visible. This requires innovation power by companies who are on a sustainability and circular economy pathway and need to challenge their dominant unsustainable and linear business models. Experimentation is needed to find out which new business models would work for them in practice. Complex topics like sufficiency (less) and nature regeneration (more; net positive) are needed in a business context. However, how do you actually tackle these and experiment as a business? This talk discusses how companies might experiment, what strategies they should pursue, and what the future might look like.
The talk was followed by a lively discussion with academia of University of Freiburg.
