Lectures & Seminars

Christmas is coming up and with it the frenzy for (last minute) gifts! Before the holidays arrive, join us for an SDG lecture on Sustainable Consumption SDG 12.

Date: 08/12/2022
Time: 16:30-17:30
Location: Sustainability Hub at Tapijn (clock building), St. Hubertuslaan 12, Maastricht; Presentation room (on the 1st floor)

PhD researcher Laura Niessen will introduce some of the background on the impacts of our consumption and why we should rethink it. She will provide inspiration for how you can consume more sustainably, during the holiday time and beyond. Based on her own research, she will also give examples of companies supporting the move towards less resource-intensive consumption and also point the importance/role of research in this field out. She offers a first-hand insight into how to contribute with research to improving sustainable consumption.

This event is part of the SDG seminar series at Maastricht University. The SDG seminars are intended to approach sustainability issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN. In these SDG seminar series professionals in sustainability speak about the challenges and chances they face in practice.

Unfortunately the event has passed, but do keep an eye on our future events.
